Phase 1: Registration (Starting January 31, 2026)
The first step is to create a candidate profile on the new India Post GDS portal.

Start New Registration: From the pop-up menu, select the “New Candidate Registration” option.
OTP Verification:
Enter your mobile number and email ID.
Click on “Send OTP” for both. Once received, enter the OTPs and click “Verify OTP” to successfully validate your contact details.
Enter Basic Information: After clicking “Next,” fill in the following details accurately as they appear on your 10th-grade marksheet:
Full Name.
Date of Birth (selected from the calendar).
Gender (Male, Female, or Transgender).
Father’s Name and Mother’s Name.
Community/Category (e.g., General, OBC, SC/ST).
Complete Registration: Click the “Complete” button. You will be assigned a Registration Number, which will also be sent to your registered mobile and email. Note down this number for all future steps.
Phase 2: Form Submission (February 2 – February 16, 2026)
While registration starts earlier, the actual form-filling process begins on February 2, 2026.
Login: Use your Registration Number to log back into the portal.
